Design for SEO in 2017

Picture Optimization

Make certain at least one picture file name contains your goal key word (as an example, on_page_SEO.png) and that your target keyword is a part of your image Alt Text.
Another motive to optimize your pictures for SEO: it gives another hint of what your page is about…which can help it rank in organic search to search engines.
“green widgets and “blue widgets” ” it tells them when Google sees pictures with alt text this page is about widgets”.

Dazzle with Multimedia

Text can only just take your content up to now. Engaging pictures, diagrams and videos can reduce bounce rate and increase time on site: two vital user interaction factors that are ranking.
That’s because I firmly believe that my content is made by it direct up better.
But it has a fine SEO advantage to boot: multimedia helps you foster those user-interaction signs that Google continues to be paying a lot more attention to. And it raises the perceived value of your content –which means that individuals tend to be more inclined to link to it.

Wrapping Subheadings in H2 Tags

In at least once subheading…, include your target keyword and roll it in an H2 tag.
This unquestionably won’t make or break your on-page SEO attempts. But my tests have shown me that by wrapping your goal key word in a H2 tag, a dent can be made.
Here’s an example of the strategy in action (goal keyword=”SEO strategy”):

Use Outbound Links

This really is an easy, white hat SEO strategy to get more traffic. Outbound links to related pages helps Google figure out your page’s subject. Additionally, it demonstrates Google your page is a hub of quality information.
Not linking out might be the #1 on-page Search Engine Optimization error that I see people make. I try to use 2-4x outbound links per 1000 words. That’s a great guideline for the majority of websites.
Bear in mind that the sites you link out to reflect for you. So make sure whenever feasible to link out to authority sites.

Use SEO-Friendly URLs

Google has said that the first 3-5 words in a URL are given more weight. Thus make your URLs short and sweet. And always include your target key word in your URL. In other words: Avoid horrible URLs: domain.com/p=123 Or long URLs: domain.com/8/6/16/cat=SEO/on-page-seo-is-so-amazing-omg-its-the-best

Add Modifiers To Your Own Title

Using modifiers “ ”, “guide” that is best, and “review” can allow you to rate for long tail variations of your target key word.

Use Social Sharing Buttons

Societal signs may not play an immediate role in ranking your web site. But shares that are societal generate more eyeballs on your own articles.
And the more eyeballs you get, the more likely someone is to link for you. So don’t be shy about putting societal sharing buttons prominently on your site. The truth is, a study by BrightEdge found that societal sharing can be increased by prominent societal sharing buttons by 700%.
Social signs aren’t an important part of the Google algorithm. But you may be given an indirect rankings boost by social shares on sites like Google, Twitter and Facebook.

Post Long Content

The Search Engine Optimization adage “span is strength” was supported by our industry study which found that longer content has a tendency to rank higher on Google’s first page.
Target for at least 1900 words for each piece of content that you print. As a rule, I make sure my articles all have 1000 words of meaty, content that is useful.
More content helps you rank better for your target keyword and brings in more long tail traffic… a win-win!
